[It takes a few minutes of putting away groceries, and also calming himself, before Komaeda is ready to head to the park. Unlike Atem, who easily flew there, Komaeda has to fold himself into the apartment elevator, ride it down, and walk himself down the street.

It's nice, at least, that they're able to find the middle ground between their respective needs. He had offered to do this after sundown, but he knows it'd be bad if it got too dark to be outside. Komaeda wonders if it's also a byproduct of being a priest, that Atem is able to stand being outside as a vampire, even with just a bit of cloud cover. It's that thought he lingers on, as he approaches the hill in the park, that makes it so that, when noticing the demon, his mind needs a moment to catch up.

Who's this demon? Wasn't Atem supposed to be—ah.]

You changed! [Komaeda laughs, as if the guy before him put on a different outfit, rather than using his power to completely alter his anatomy.] I didn't know you were a demon before... I missed so much while I was gone. [His tone tinges, only a bit, with a melancholy that's just as quickly cast aside as he approaches Atem and settles down onto the grass beside him.]
